Boutique 2

Sorry but i don't think i can do a proper post till maybe Friday?

Been soooo busy working non-stop preparing for the new shop!! YUPPPP I'M OPENING ANOTHER OUTLET. Going back to Haji Lane, above SUP! Wanted a ground level unit but no more left! So i took the same unit i took a few years back above SUP.

And yknow what? I'm going to work there and not employ anyone~~~~ :D Ok, i definitely need someone during the weekends (church) and some days when i go do the photoshoot for my online store or am overseas. But most of the days, i'll be there! YOU GIRLS CAN COME VISIT ME! THERE'LL BE A SOFA THERE! YOU CAN SIT AND TALK TO ME :D

I miss working in my own shop. I'm going to be soooo tired because now i've to work in the boutique myself and run the online store BUT i think i'll enjoy it lah hehe.

The 1st unit is still at FEP! My mom runs the FAR EAST PLAZA #02-100 outlet and she imports really unique stuff however many people complain it's too expensive etc. Due to insufficient shop space, we can't put much in the FEP unit so that's why she stuck to selling more "expensive" stuff as we don't have to sell a lot to cover! Whereas if we sell things at $20something i've no idea how we're gonna survive cus if you don't already know, the rental is quite mad there.

People complain and make noise and ask me why i don't put the online store stuff there...well yeah, the explanation is above! So... i decided to open another unit at Haji Lane selling more affordable stuff! Rental is not so mad so yeah! Stuff you can find in the online store can be found in the Haji Lane unit! Every week when i launch a new collection, i'll bring the new designs to the boutique so if you didn't manage to get it online, you can head down to Haji Lane to get it. :D

So well, it's 2 diff crowds for both FEP and HAJI LANE OSF Boutiques! The FEP outlet would be for those people who dare to be different and like unique clothes. And for the safe dressers, head down to HAJI LANE! :)

The boutique should be ready this weekend! Will update ya'll on it. Watch this space :)

Baby Feet

Just tweeted about my "foot fetish" and decided to write a post instead since Twitter limits me to only 140 characters.

Ok not your normal "foot fetish". Nope, i don't like kissing toes or people kissing mine. Nope, toes don't turn me on.

My foot fetish is me constantly touching my feet making sure it's soft. Lol.

I've never used any foot scrubs before in my life because i've always had soft baby feet (because since young i try not to step on wet mopped floors - the detergent really spoils your feet). But this afternoon, at the airport, i sat down and felt my heels and it felt quite rough! So i got reeeeally worried i went to Boots to buy foot scrub and scrubbed my feet in the airport's toilet. LOL.

Then i thought about it...and i wondered...if anyone's like me? Constantly afraid of having rough feet? I doubt so la! It's so bloody weird hahaha.

Yknow it must be the maid who worked for my family when i was 5....she had reeeeally badly cracked heels and it was really scary. Think i started this "touching my feet to make sure it's soft" thing since then because i was scared i'll have cracked heels like hers. Also since then i got really afraid of stepping into wet toilet with detergent on the floor or mopped floors. Maybe that's why my feet is still pretty soft! Until this afternoon lah....i dont know why like that :( does wearing heels all the time cause your heel to become rougher???

So anyway, i did some research on Google to help those who don't have soft baby feet to achieve it!

Pretty simple!

All you need is...
1. Hot Water (we all have that at home dont we)
2. Pumice Stone (this would be best)/Foot File/Scrub
3. Vaseline (this would be the best! you can find it at Watsons under $5 - i think?) or any body moisturizer
4. Cotton Socks

Step 1:
Soak your feet in a tub of hot water for 30-45min. The hotter the better.

Step 2:
Pat your feet dry and use the pumice stone to scrub the hard and dead skin away. Spend about 5 min on each foot. Rinse it clean with hot water. Pat dry.

Step 3:
Slather your feet with Vaseline. Lots and lots of it! Just spam only. Especially at the heels part.

Step 4:
Put on cotton socks!

Do this at night, before you sleep. When you wake, remove your socks and wash your feet. You should have softer feet! Try to do this 3-4 times a week? At the end of 2 weeks you should've soft feet already!

Try it and let me know if it worked for you! I haven't tried it because i already have pretty soft feet - but when it gets rougher i definitely will! A lot of sites recommended the same thing so im guessing it should be really effective!

play with black sphere

you could see kinds of sphere chain necklace which available in the market..
there are consists of plastic materials, wooden materials, metal materials.. etc
and most of them are just like candy chain..
bright colours, eye-catching and attractive to wear.
and I made one too for myself, recently.

it's not a brand new concept..
but an inspiring handmade jewelry collection which been introduced by Sayaka Yamamoto
.. with her fascination and spirit to produce pieces which are familiar and common for us in a new way.

with her brand, Gem Sessions ..
she brings us kind of surprising light, meticulous creatures and voluminous brooches by her first collection named "Kuro", means black in Japanese.

sponge with velvet surface been packed into a sphere-like shaped and make it like an unique brooches necklace..

sphere-alike creation emphasize the beauty of accessories with strong impact and I like the presentation of lookbook with a clean and monotone wearing-model..
playing with the black balls and slightly go to the Kuro necklace collection..
the black colour brooch-accessories looking flat and match, but it would be better if there is various of colour to be chosen.

brooch-necklace which used the velvet material is pretty refreshing in the context of accessories, but it's still remain the shape we are familiar with..

I think that if we could mix and match different colours of sphere-brooches and match it to be a rainbow colourfulness necklace..
style would be more interesting and create a colour-blocking look too^^

belt necklace

Wearing belt as an accessories.
like a necklace with flexible adjustments..
in love with this new idea and gonna rock it with my outfits later.

eco touch

when everybody talks about the end of the world, do you really concern about what's you could do to save the world?
I am not a strong eco-friendly people, but I always try to do something which could make a little changes to our earth.

when I made the elle homme shirt redesign, the shade of beige always make me feel like I am drowning in the sea of nature.
I wish to wear it with more interesting ways, make it to become a scarf-alike ...
the clean cuts with the flower-embroidered pop out with wavy-layering which I really heart for it.

ruffles top from Singapore; Elle Homme redesign shirt from Fumiko Kawa Redesign; asymmetrical linen pants from Japan

pocket-with-no-pocket, sounds weird ..? ..
actually I always meets a lot of design like that, especially design pieces from Taiwan, Korea, Japan...
the asymmetrical and different design of the linen pants make everything looks beautiful.

sometimes you don't really need it to function like an exact thing, but the more important is the idea behind the design.

melting layers

I think that creativity could not be judged by an object, idea or thought.
it's not about an awesome idea, an unbreakable thought or irreplaceable object..

but, it could be obviously seen on something which have continuous efforts with great spirit and keep working on it..

I love belt, especially vintage design with metal buckle.
wearing it as a bracelet, and tie it knotted with many layers.
a vintage belt also could be creative to wear.

ruffles top from Singapore; net-sweater from vintage shop; textured-flowers sheer skirt from my mum; vintage neon-green belt(wearing as a bracelet) from vintage shop; vintage shoulder bag from Japan; wedges from Taiwan

I just love the belt idea, not about the creativity behind the style..
but the continuous spirit which keep working behind the style.

knot link

there are so much elements which we could playing with in the fashion.
patterns, fabrics, layers..
they could be link up with each others for a better picture.

a knot link up between knit and sheer..
create the romance beauty of layering which is hard to resist.

bricks it up

Perhaps I don't ever play any toys when I was a little girl..
so when I get touch with the 'well-known' bricks, I am much expected to play it.

LEGO is kind of constructive toy with mini creatures, bricks and minifigures.. and various part of it.
the most I captivating about it is the variety of colour.. bright colours bricks

I love to redesign the Lego bricks to become a minimalistic ring to wear.
.. assemble the bricks, not a proper model for Lego..
but something inspired in the fashion.
(more LEGO redesign will keep update soon, stay tuned^^)

it's used to have a LEGO fashion storm on the runway show.. a few years ago...
and I think that LEGO-inspired fashion might be trending back recently in another context of style.

take a look here for the creative LEGO-inspired heels too♥

not necessary appears on the runway stage, but at the street corners which always shine our fashion style on.

valuation of vintage

have you ever valuate yourself in the field you are involved or something you are in love?
how well you are loving it?

valuate myself in the field that I love..
.. fashion..
I know everything is still new for me, there are still a lot of things I could learn..
much experiences to collect through..
..and many adventures to challenge with

plenty of unsureness, surprises and excitements are waiting for me..
.. to valuate more about myself in the fashion ..
with a better way, and it's would be a great valuation.
